D.I.Y. Printing Workshops
I have lead a series of community-based 'do-it-yourself' zine making workingshops. I have partnered with numerous community based organizations such as the Iowa Youth Writing Project, The Antelope Lending Library, UNESCO Iowa City of Literature, The Iowa City School District, The University of Iowa Libraries, Transformation, United Action for Youth, and Iowa City Poetry.
In 2018, I receieved funding from the University of Iowa Women's Resource and Action Center to co-create curricula on articulating consent in queer partnerships. This project resulted in an activity fanzine that was used within universities, high schools, and community centers in Iowa.
I have taught semester-length 'printing camps' for underserved youth, 'pop-up' workshops for culture and heritage organizations, and guest lectured pre-service teachers on using zines within classrooms.
